In short
Towel bars, hooks, rings, paper holders and shelves are mounted so they don’t wiggle loose: screws into studs where they line up, and toggle anchors where they don’t. A matching set goes up spaced and leveled together.

Bathroom walls in Rosemead homes
With a median home built in 1959, many Rosemead bathrooms have drywall or plaster above original tile, and the studs behind them don’t always land where a towel bar looks right. Plastic anchors from a kit are the usual reason bars rip out. We find framing where we can and use metal toggles where we can’t.
Tile adds a step. Holes go in with a carbide or diamond bit at slow speed, the screws get sealed so shower water can’t creep behind the tile, and we drill through grout lines when the layout allows.
From box to wall
Mark with you
We hold each piece up and agree on height and spacing before any holes are drilled.
Find the backing
A stud finder and a small test hole tell us whether a screw can go into wood or needs a toggle.
Drill and mount
Brackets go up level, fasteners are set, and tile holes are sealed.
Pull test
Every bar and hook gets a firm tug, and old holes are filled and touched up.
What’s not part of this job
Recessed medicine cabinets that need a new opening cut in a wall with pipes or wires, and new vanities or shower walls, go to a general contractor. For a bar meant to hold body weight, see grab bar installation.
While we’re out for this, Rosemead customers often add mirror and medicine cabinet installation, shower door repair, grab bar installation, shelf installation or caulking and grout repair.

Towel bar and bath hardware questions
Can you install a shower curtain rod on tile?
Yes. We drill tile with a glass-and-tile bit and use anchors that seal.
Why does my towel bar keep falling off the wall?
It is usually held by small plastic anchors in drywall. A new mount into a stud or a metal toggle holds far better.
Can you put a towel bar on tile?
Yes. We drill slowly with the right bit, seal the screws, and use grout lines where we can.
Can a towel bar be used as a grab bar?
No. Towel bars aren’t built to hold a person. If you need support, ask about a grab bar instead.
Can you hang a medicine cabinet?
Surface-mount cabinets, yes. Recessed cabinets that need a new hole cut in the wall are outside our scope.
How much does it cost to install bathroom accessories?
It depends on how many pieces and the wall type. Text a photo of the wall and the hardware for a free estimate.
Will you patch the old holes?
Yes, holes left by the old hardware are filled and touched up when we have matching paint.
Towel hooks or a towel bar: which is better?
Bars let towels dry flat and look neater. Hooks hold more in less space and suit kids. Many baths use a bar for bath towels and hooks for robes.

Can you match a full towel bar set in brushed nickel?
Yes. We install the whole set at once so the finishes, heights and spacing line up, and remove the old pieces.
